Before You Arrive

Completing the theory before you arrive means we can spend less time in the classroom and more time applying those concepts where they matter most—exploring Mahahual's deeper reefs.

During Your Course
Across four training dives you'll progressively build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to safely enjoy deeper recreational diving.
​
You'll learn how to plan deeper dives, monitor your gas more effectively, recognise how depth affects your body and your thinking, and become comfortable making calm, informed decisions underwater.
​
With a maximum of three students, there's plenty of time to discuss each dive before entering the water and review what you've learned afterwards, ensuring you leave with genuine understanding rather than simply another certification.
What You'll Learn
During your PADI Deep Diver Course, you'll learn to:

Safely plan and conduct dives to 40 metres / 130 feet.

Understand how depth affects your body and breathing gas.

Improve your gas planning and awareness.

Recognise and manage the effects of nitrogen narcosis.

Better understand no-decompression limits and deeper dive planning.

Respond appropriately to problems at depth while remaining calm.

Practise breathing from an alternate air source during a simulated emergency ascent.

Safely complete extended safety stops at 5 metres after deeper dives.

Take greater responsibility for your own dive while continuing to be an effective buddy.
